James Thrailkill
As a 55-year-old, lifelong resident of Troup County and small business owner for the past 35 years, I would like to announce my intention to qualify in March for Troup County Commissioner – District 2. It has been on my heart and mind for years to have a more active voice toward keeping Troup County a great place to live for all citizens.
Experience
Through my work on the Troup County Planning and Zoning Board for the past seven years and the County Election Board for two years, I have enjoyed helping citizens while learning the processes of our local government. I remain committed to continuing this work with individuals interested in like-minded smart growth for Troup County. My experience and personal beliefs support my strong passion for our rural communities while working with our local city governments. I am also proud of my leadership experiences gained through serving in the Army National Guard. Together, we can work toward securing and maintaining a high quality of life within Troup County.
